Back to School

This is me and all of my stuff when I came back after the break. Obviously, I had some issues.

Well, it's time for new classes, new schedule, etc. Whoo!

Classes started Monday, but seeing as I don't have class Monday, Wednesday or Friday, I started on Tuesday. Needless to say, Tuesdays and Thursdays are long.

Here is a rundown of my new schedule:

World Lit: Teacher is a woman, but very manly. She told us that we needed to drop her class if we have a problem with swearing and that she didn't remember the last time she had been to church. I think I'll like this class better than World Lit 1 (which isn't saying much, haha). I think it will be easier too. So that's good!

Math: It's Math for Elementary Education Majors 3, but don't let the title fool you. It's not just simple elementary math, but it's not methods (how to teach) either. It's like these intricate concepts of math. Not fun at all. I had this professor last Spring and I liked her. She's very to the point and no nonsense, which I like in a professor.

Biology: I guess this is probably my favorite class, although I'm not a fan of class in general. I had this teacher last semester and he's one of the best I've ever had. He learns everyone in all of his classes names. His classes are around 300 people. Impressive. He also gives us a break during class. I like that. He's just an all around good teacher and you can tell he wants to help his students. I think I'll like this Biology better than the first one. It's actually about the human body instead of meiosis and mitosis like the last one.

Diversity of Learners and Settings (I will probably refer to it as Foundations or Foundations 3000): First of all, this class is on just Thursdays from 5-7:45 pm. No thanks. This is my professor's last name: Aiuhrfjscyghuijklaschbjvkndfghtfdj. Okay, it's not that exactly, but pretty much. I was definitely expecting to not be able to understand anything he said, but luckily it turned out to be a SHE who happens to be married to a man with a Polish last name. This class is going to require a lot of reading and writing. Already not a fan, then I found out that everyone is required to be in 2 debates. HAY NO. I do not speak in front my people. I'm nervous already. Besides that bit of terribleness, I think the class will interesting and different than anything I've had before. I'm glad I'm finally starting to learn things that I will actually be able to take to the teaching profession.

And that's all folks!

Hopefully this semester will not be too horrible. I'm SO glad it's Friday. The week actually went by fairly fast! Hope everyone has a great weekend!
