Happy Birthday To Me!

A whole new decade. The last time I entered a new decade, I was turning 10 and I was excited to be two full hands old. I'm not even kidding.

I heard this song on the radio the other day and it seemed to kind of fit my feelings about my birthday this year.

Life hasn't always been a party

but mostly it's been good

There's only one or two things that I'd change if I could

Sometimes I have to wonder

What does it really mean

But hey im still putting it together

I keep getting better

if I keep getting better

I can be whatever I want to be

I've got sunsets to witness

dreams to dance with

beaches to walk on

and lovers to kiss

there's a whole lot of world out there

that I can't wait to see

I realize that one day, I'll probably look back on this blog post and think, "Oh, Rachel, you had so much to learn" because that's typically what I think when I look back at old journals and things. But that's okay, that's kind of what I've learned in these past 20 years: I'll never have it all figured out. That's why I've learned to rely on the One that created me to figure it out for me.

So here's to my 20's! I'm so thankful for the 20 years God has blessed me with so far. I can't wait to see where He leads me and what He has in store for me. I have a feeling it's going to be the best decade yet.
