Well, we all made it back safely from the beach. I'm glad to report that the oil still hasn't reached Destin yet! But the tropical storm sure did. It rained every single day we were there, but the first and the last. We still managed to have a good time though. I wish I could add the pictures, but of course, I can't!
Happy Fourth of July to everyone! There's something about this holiday I just love. We're having some family over tonight for supper and then to go watch fireworks. I am making the traditional Flag Cake.
I'm also making another one to take to Philip's family's get together tomorrow. I'll be leaving for Auburn early in the morning so we can go to lunch at his grandparents' house and then coming back Tuesday. I wish I could be there for longer, but such is life, I guess.
I'm also really excited to wear this patriotic dress to church today!
Remember it? When I first saw it online, I thought it was orange instead of red. Well, Philip knew I wanted it and gave it to me for my birthday and surprise... it's not a Game Day dress, but a Memorial Day/Fourth of July dress! Haha. I love it, either way!
I hope everyone has a lovely Fourth of July!
