Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there! I know I am thankful for my wonderful dad today! This picture isn't actually from today as I don't have a working camera, but it is of my dad and we did go to the driving range today, so I deemed it appropriate!
I am such a bad blogger! I just don't have anything of any pressing importance to blog about so I just put it off.
First and foremost though, CT (what my brother wants to go by now, don't ask me why haha) came home from Choir Tour yesterday! I know I have already posted about how much I missed him, but let me just reiterate that I MISSED HIM A LOT! It just feels so much better now that he's home. Isn't that weird?
Today was their Homecoming Concert at our church. Oh, how I miss it. I mean, not that if I could pick that I would go back to high school and go or anything, but it's just a strange feeling to know that I'll never be up there again, never go on another Choir Tour again. But that's life, I guess, you grow up, move on and have to come to accept it. I am still close to everyone that I was close to so it's not like much has really changed there. I still love watching them perform though. I know it will be even weirder when my brother's not in it anymore and even more weird when my cousin's not up there! Oh well, too much emotion for one blog post! Let me move on to another topic!
This week as I said in my last post, I worked a lot. It was a good week at work except for this: We sell these little frogs and so far we hadn't had any die, but this week we had three die (one of which I was responsible for disposing of)! I personally think we have a bad batch. Let's hope that more don't die! And especially hope that customers' frogs don't die!
On Friday, someone had drained our pool as a prank so therefore it was closed. My mom and I had already planned to spend the whole day at the pool, so we were a little disappointed. We decided to go buy a small plastic pool for our yard. I am so glad we did! It was really nice to lay out and then just get right in the pool, or just lay out in the pool!
I finished Something Blue and started Blue Like Jazz (guess I'm into the color blue lately?) by Donald Miller. It's okay so far. I haven't really gotten into it so I haven't really read a lot. It's nonfiction which I usually don't read, but it's "Nonreligious thoughts on Christian Spirituality." It's pretty deep stuff, which is probably why I haven't read much. It has some good stuff in it though so I want to keep reading.
Wednesday my family and I are going to the Yankee's vs. Braves game in Atlanta! I am so excited! GO YANKEES!! I even got a Derek Jeter shirt to wear!
Saturday we leave for the beach for a week! I am really looking forward to it. It's been a while since I have spent the whole week at the beach! And we are taking our dog, Precious! I'm interested to see how she reacts to everything... the long car ride, a new house, the ocean/beach...
I think that's it for now! Maybe I'll try to get an update in before I leave for the beach!
