Well, I'm finally finding the time get back to blogging! Yay! There is so much to say about what has happened in the past week and a half (which has felt like years) that I don't even know where to begin.
I guess moving back to Auburn would be a good place to start...
And then the real fun began...
After 3 days of pre-recruitment, 5 days of recruitment, nights of getting 3 and 4 hours of sleep and days of not eating anything until 5 pm...
KAPPA ALPHA THETA at Auburn University has 68 gorgeous new LITTLE KITES! And we could not be more thrilled!
My precious "kite pal" and I on Bid Day
Bid Day was such a bittersweet day for me. I was so excited to see all of our new members but then my parents made a spontaneous trip down to Auburn to tell me some terrible news. They came to tell me that Precious died earlier that morning. I cannot even describe how upset I am and how much I miss my baby puppy. We got her when I was 6 so I barely remember not having her in my life. But God is good. She didn't even suffer much and it's probably going to be easier for me to adjust to it since I'm not living at home. But enough sad news...
Today started the first day of classes for this semester. I think it's going to be my hardest semester yet. All of my classes seem like they are going to require a lot of reading and work which is something I'm not really used to. I am getting kind of nervous about balancing school and everything else in my life. I guess I'll figure it out though.
I'm going to try to be better about blogging now that recruitment is over. Hopefully I'll follow through with that!
Hope everyone's having a great Monday! It feels so good to blog again!
Rachel
