Good News!....

....I have finally finished Cold Sassy Tree! That took a while. It was a good book and I did like it, but it was just kind of hard to read and I'll admit some parts were boring so I skipped over them. But anyway, now I am onto this....

I haven't really read any Nicholas Sparks except A Walk to Remember, but everyone seems to like them and I always like the movies, so I picked this one.

This week has been pretty random. That's a weird word to describe a week, I know, but it fits this one.

Yesterday I babysat. 5 children. By myself. From 8 am to 6 pm. It really wasn't bad. I hadn't babysat in a while, probably since Christmas break. So I was glad to spend time with the 3 kids I usually babysit since I have been babysitting them for about 5 years now. I've really missed them. We went down to the creek by their house, made forts (or "ports" as one of the little boys called them) and ohhhh I don't even know what else. The ultimate downside to that day was that one of the boys broke my camera. My month and a half old camera. Guess that's what the warranty's for though...

Earlier this morning I went with my friend and her significant other to the Pepper Place Market downtown. I had never even heard of it, much less been there, but it was fun despite the heat and crowd. We didn't buy anything, but it was fun to look and I was really glad to see my friend since she lives out of town. We saw a ton a dogs there so of course, I was in heaven!

Now, it's off to work and then to eat and to Vulcan. My friends and I had already planned to go tonight (I think I have been there once in my whole life of living here) but i found out that it's Vulcan's 105th birthday (I think that's right). The festivities are tomorrow though, not tonight. Anyways...

Have a great rest of the weekend!

Rachel
